About Mebajeona

Mebajeona Stud Farm has been in the business of breeding horses since 1963 (earlier run as Punjab Stud Farm). Mebajeona has survived the test of time over decades and has carved a niche for itself the Indian Thoroughbred Industry as a boutique farm with consistent performance across all tracks in India.

The farm is focused on breeding top quality thoroughbred race horses in India. By quality, we mean a combination of pedigree, conformation, fitness and attitude that a champion needs. At Mebajeona, we are committed to building strong relationships with owners, trainers and racing professionals who are equally passionate about creating champions. The farm is run hands on by the promoters of the farm. From dawn to dusk, every operation in the farm goes under the keen eyes of the management.

Our results drive us, and our horses inspire us. Since 2008, Mebajeona bred horses have won 4 classics, 3 Group races and have placed in over 10 Group races with several reaching class 1. In 2012, Mebajeona bred champion filly VIJAY’S PRIDE won the Gitanjali Indian 1000 Guines, Gr1, Mumbai and Fillies Championship Stakes, Gr1, Bangalore. Bear in mind that we sell only 10-12 yearlings each year.

Outside India, Surbirinder Singh Sidhu has been actively involved in Bloodstock in Europe and Asia. His notable achievements outside India include the purchase of DAN EXCEL for prominent HK owner David P. Boehm. DAN EXCEL (formerly called Dunboyne Express) won three International Gr1s including the Singapore International Airlines Cup, Gr1 twice - the only horse in Singapore racing history to have won this prestigious race back to back in 2014 and 2015. DAN EXCEL also won The Hongkong Mile, Gr1. Surbirinder has been involved in some interesting pinhooks in Europe and Australia and is a consultant to a breeding operation in Australia.
